Applied Microbiomics Lab
PERSONNEL
The Lee Lab is comprised of various individuals and specialists that make it what it is. Find out more about our team members below.

DR. YONG JIN LEE
Principal Investigator
Associate Professor
Dr. Lee has diverse research and training experiences in applying the state-of-the-art molecular techniques to microbial genomics and transcriptomics studies. He developed an in silico model to predict the toxicity of organophosphate compounds (Marimuthu et al., 2018). He also developed a functional gene array, “the PathoChip” to detect and identify functional genes using a microarray-based technology (Lee et al., 2013). He is currently working on Microbial Forensics funded by Department of Justice (DOJ) and soil microbiome funded by Department of Energy (DOE).

LOGAN J. WILLIS
Lab Coordinator/Technician
November 2019 - Present
Logan Willis is a lab coordinator and technician in the Lee Lab. He worked as a research assistant in the Lee Lab while attending Albany State University before graduating with a Bachelor's in Biology. He is currently working on the NIJ-funded microbial forensics project.
